Ayame woke with a racing heart, her eyes flashing around the room as she realized she wasn't on the roof of the library anymore. Her view was covered by privacy curtains but what she could see, and because of the tubes she was hooked up to, she managed to gather that she was in the infirmary.
After her first realization a second occurred to her. Somehow she had ended up human after all the mess, and she couldn't help but to think of the dream she had had about her feline form. Regardless of how it had happened, she was grateful that she wouldn't have to deal with it now that she was awake and in control again.
She thought again of what had happened, or the parts she remembered, and groaned, covering her face with her hands. The movement turned out to be a mistake as it caused flares of pain in her side, shoulder and in the wound on her face. Regretfully, she placed her hands back down at her sides, wincing at the movement, but at least it was an improvement.
Something must have alerted a nurse, or maybe she had just been louder than she thought when she moved, because she arrived shortly after to question her.
"I'm glad to see you awake, Miss. You sure had us worried. You've been asleep for a few hours. How are you feeling?"
"Um, I kind of hurt everywhere..." Ayame said as she took a mental inventory. The nurse clucked her tongue softly.
"We weren't sure how much pain medicine to give you, we weren't sure how quickly you would metabolize it. I'll get you some more in just a minute." The nurse hurried away and returned with a bottle of pain medicine for Ayame as well as a separate dose and some water, as Ayame took the pills the nurse explained the dosing and told her to come back if she had any issues. Ayame nodded softly and then the nurse left her to dress in clothing that had been picked up from her room.
"Oh, one last thing," The nurse called hurrying towards Ayame where she stood by the door, "You are asked to report to the Mistress Anna before doing anything else today." Ayame nodded, trying to keep herself calm. Surely it was just a chiding for losing control... right?
The infirmary wasn't far from the office, and before the medicine had even had time to work Ayame found herself standing before the headmistress's office. She knocked on the door and waited.
